Every day, I feel the gap between what leaders say about the importance of ethics and how employees feel on the shopfloor. I undertake my own research, take a course in Consultancy and start to develop my own approach.
One of my dreams comes true: I start teaching at the University of Marne La Vallée, near Paris. The dream will last for ten years.
One of my clients asks me to come and work with them in London. I get a Post-Graduate Diploma in Conference Interpreting at the University of Westminster.
After getting my DESS (equivalent to a Master’s degree) in medical translation and editing from the University of Lyons, I set up my own business.
I am lucky to take part in an Erasmus programme involving:
- Two years at Aix-Marseilles University in the south of France (Year 1 and 4).
- Year 2 at Ealing College of Higher Education - just opposite the legendary Ealing studios.
- Year 3 at the University of Granada in Spain.
Beyond the wonderful memories I still cherish, this journey was a life-changing experience.
